Scott Anderson

Scott Anderson is a quiet guy. That is not to say he lacks passion. He certainly does, as his art shows. But from spending a long weekend retreat with him, I got no sense of self-promotion, or chattiness. His finished paintings though, are where his personality comes out.

He's one of these rare painters who seem to acknowledge the love of nature, with a nod to Van Gogh. It is own rare, vision.  There is a hint of moodiness and reflection, challenging his colorful and often optimistic love of nature.  The use of his broad strokes shows the brilliance of his natural subjects. It is an honor for him to share his work with us.

Ladonna, a find, and a fine artist, was born on a small farm in Hartland, Minnesota. At the age of five, her family moved to Southern California, wherein she modeled, ran a restaurant and studied under a well-known artist and photographer, Julian Ritter. She studied oil, sketching, costume and design, and stained glass windows.  After years in the San Fernando Valley, she moved to South Lake Tahoe, California and found her home on a cul-de-sac on protected land. Surrounded by Aspen trees, coyotes, birds and black bears that have made her car port their home; the bears are known for having babies, peeking in her windows and sharing the great outdoors. Nevertheless, she continues painting, sharing her life with nature, family and friends.

  1. This is a brilliant artist. How come she isn't in museums? There is a lot of heart, talent and wonder in every sketch or oil.
